  • 1 cup Shredded Colby Jack Cheese or mozzarella/cheddar

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • baking sheet

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified on the package of frozen garlic bread, typically around 375°F (190°C). Spread the frozen garlic bread slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef, breaking it into small pieces. Cook for 5–7 minutes until browned, then drain any excess fat.
  3. Lower the heat and stir in the condensed tomato soup, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, onion powder, salt, and garlic powder. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Remove the garlic bread from the oven once golden and crisp. Allow to cool slightly before assembly.
  5. Spoon ¼ to ⅓ cup of the warm sloppy joe filling onto each slice of garlic bread and sprinkle shredded Colby Jack cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Return the assembled Garlic Bread Sloppy Joes to the oven and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

For best results, ensure the garlic bread is crispy before adding filling to avoid sogginess. Optionally, add diced bell peppers or jalapeños for a flavor boost.
